Roma Shabana ~ on Frere Street
Excelsior Hotel (corner of Zaibun Nisa Street) ~ They used to have a bar/night club where a lot of distinguished people visited. My father Sunny Dias played there and met Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto many times in the early sixties.
The bar would serve all sorts of local and foreign drinks and the night club would entertain the guests with cabaret.
Imperial Hotel ~ on Moulvi Tamizuddin Khan Road (previously known as Queens Road)
Taj Hotel ~ on Ziauddin Ahmed Road (Opp. Karachi Club)
Palace Hotel (now Sheraton) ~ on Club Road
UBar ~ just before St. Andrew’s Church Zaibunnisa Street

The Hut ~ at Zelins on the intersection of M A Jinnah Road
Taj Hotel ~ where well known politicians used to frequent. This is going back maybe late 60s.

The night club at the Taj was called the Oasis and later it became the Playboy Club. There was another night club on the same road besides the PIDC opp. the Palace and it was called Le Gourmet.
Also the Beach Luxury had one at 007 which featured Johnny Lion and the Jumping Jewels from the Netherlands… among the songs they played were Tra la la Suzie, Devil Woman etc. Eddie Carripiet also featured them on his show at Radio Pakistan.

Cavalier ~ A disco in Hotel Plaza (Cantt) run by Bhutto’s nephew, Poncho and his English wife, Stephanie.

Plaza Hotel (Cantt Station) the disco on the Roof Top

The disco owned by Mr Fazalbhoy and his wife Dr Zarina Fazalbhoy in Zelins was The Hut where the Dad’s Gratitude played in the early 70s.
The place at the airport owned by Air France was Hostellerie de France.
